This One Word Can Change Your Outcomes

Because I’m the positive mindset/outlook guy I’m often asked the question of what to do in the face of failure. What happens when you’ve given your best effort and it still wasn’t good enough?

One approach most will adopt is the easy way out which is… When I try hard I still fail so I may as well not try or I just expect to fail each time I try. This normally ends in the person remaining mediocre and never seeing success in whatever it is they were chasing because they don’t truly believe they can get better.

The other way is often referred to as the growth mindset. This is where you give your best effort and still fail but understand that it won’t be like that forever. It’s simply the best you can do with what you have for now and with practice and time you will become better.

While you still haven’t achieved what you set out for the key word you say each time you try and fail is “yet”.

I haven’t got there yet!

Which implies that you’re still planning on working towards it!

So next time you fall short remember this is part of the journey and it’s not your time YET but it will be one day if you keep trying!
