Our Training Philosophy
One year. Six purposeful training blocks. A complete system designed to build strength, engine, skill, power and resilience.
Training With Purpose.
Built for Life.
We do not program random workouts simply to make people tired. Every strength progression, conditioning session, skill cycle and recovery phase is part of a structured annual system.
Our goal is to build complete, capable people who are strong enough to handle physical challenges, fit enough to sustain effort, skilled enough to move efficiently and resilient enough to keep progressing for years.
Variety Is Useful.
Randomness Is Not.
The body adapts to the demands repeatedly placed upon it. If training is inconsistent, adaptation becomes inconsistent. When training is structured, progressive and properly recovered from, progress becomes far more predictable.
We revisit important lifts, movement patterns, skills and energy systems throughout the year because repetition creates mastery. We then progressively adjust load, volume, intensity, complexity and recovery to continue driving adaptation.
Sweat is not progress.
Fatigue is not progress.
Soreness is not progress.
Adaptation is progress.
Our Six-Block System
Each block places greater emphasis on specific physical qualities while maintaining the fitness developed earlier in the year. Every phase prepares you for the next.
Six Blocks. One Complete System.
Select a block below to understand its purpose, training emphasis and what members can expect.
Purpose
Foundation Forge establishes the physical and technical base for the year. We rebuild movement quality, foundational strength, aerobic capacity and structural readiness before intensity rises.
Primary Training Focus
- Movement quality and technical efficiency
- Foundational strength
- Aerobic base development
- Double-under and core fundamentals
- Bracing, stability and tissue tolerance
What It Feels Like
Controlled, technical and progressive. Members can expect tempo work, movement correction, sustainable conditioning and a strong emphasis on mastering the fundamentals.
Purpose
Ignition converts foundational strength into explosive athletic performance. Training becomes faster, sharper and more powerful while remaining technically controlled.
Primary Training Focus
- ATP-PC and glycolytic development
- Olympic lifting and explosive strength
- Fast force production
- Handstand push-ups and pulling power
- Short, aggressive conditioning intervals
What It Feels Like
Fast, explosive and athletic. Workouts become shorter and more aggressive, with greater emphasis on speed, power, repeatability and controlled intensity.
Purpose
Engine Room expands the aerobic system that supports endurance, recovery and repeatable performance. This is where members learn to sustain effort while others fade.
Primary Training Focus
- Aerobic engine development
- HYROX-style training
- Running mechanics and efficiency
- Loaded carries and mixed-modal conditioning
- Threshold and longer-duration efforts
What It Feels Like
Rhythmic, sustained and mentally demanding. Members learn to control breathing, pace intelligently and maintain consistent output for longer periods.
Purpose
Nemesis develops absolute strength, muscular durability and structural resilience. The goal is to build a stronger physical chassis capable of handling greater demands.
Primary Training Focus
- Heavy squatting and pulling
- Strength and hypertrophy
- Strict pressing and upper-body development
- Ring strength and core control
- Tendon, joint and tissue resilience
What It Feels Like
Heavy, controlled and structurally demanding. Members can expect progressive strength work, longer rest periods, accessory training and deliberate loading.
Purpose
Ascension brings the qualities developed earlier in the year together. Strength, engine, skill and power must now work simultaneously under changing demands and rising fatigue.
Primary Training Focus
- Mixed energy-system conditioning
- Barbell cycling
- Gymnastics under fatigue
- Bar flow and overhead strength
- Classic CrossFit and hybrid workouts
What It Feels Like
Dynamic, complex and highly athletic. Members learn how to transition between movements, manage fatigue and make better decisions under pressure.
Purpose
Reckoning reveals what the year has built. Accumulated fatigue is managed, performance becomes visible and members have opportunities to test strength, fitness and skill.
Primary Training Focus
- Peak performance and benchmark testing
- Heavy lifts and PR opportunities
- Muscle-up development
- Performance under pressure
- Community and year-end competition
What It Feels Like
Sharp, focused and performance-driven. Training shifts from building new capacity toward expressing the fitness created throughout the year.
The Five Qualities We Develop
Great fitness is not built by mastering one quality alone. We deliberately develop the physical qualities that work together to create capable, well-rounded people.
Strength
Produce more force, move external loads confidently and make everyday physical tasks easier.
Engine
Sustain effort, recover faster between sets and maintain output deeper into training.
Power
Express strength quickly through sprinting, jumping, Olympic lifting and explosive movement.
Skill
Improve coordination, mechanics, timing and efficiency so less energy is wasted.
Resilience
Develop tissue tolerance, joint integrity, recovery capacity and mental composure.
Stress. Recover. Adapt.
Accumulate
Training volume, movement exposure and work capacity gradually increase.
Intensify
Load, effort, complexity or training demand rises to drive adaptation.
Realise
Fatigue is reduced so improvements can become visible through quality performance.
Why We Deload
Deloads are planned reductions in training stress. They allow the body to absorb training, reduce accumulated fatigue and prepare for the next phase.
Recovery is not separate from progress. Recovery enables progress. Why We Test
Testing helps members see progress across strength, capacity, skill and mixed-modal performance. Results give us feedback, expose limitations and guide future training.
Testing is information—not identity.One Program.
Individual Execution.
Beginners, experienced members and competitive athletes can train alongside one another because our coaches adjust load, movement complexity and volume while preserving the intended purpose of each session.
Scaling is not about making the workout easier. It is about making the workout appropriate, effective and productive for the individual.
We Do Not Train to Become
Good at Exercising.
We train to become stronger, fitter, more resilient and more capable outside the gym. For family. For work. For sport. For life.
